Controversy

Many of his songs have sexual having sex, drug-related and party-related themes. His albums Fick Mich... und halt dein Maul! and Orgi Anal Arschgeil were indexed as forbidden for the youth in Germany and his first album Sexkönig even was forbidden.

The SPD politician Monika Griefahn referred to him in June 2005 while talking about stricter control of hip hop music on TV, music radio and CDs, though his music has never aired on German TV or music radio, and has been distributed only through underground web stores, such as DISTRIBUTIONZ, or at his concerts.

Early life

Romeike began rapping and working as a discjockey in 1996. He decided to produce his own music to make extra income. Until 1998, he worked under the pseudonym "Def Bringer". He later changed it to "Ohrgasmus", which was easily mistaken for a spelling error, so he changed the name again to "Orgasmus".
